Lying to voters

No one expects politicians to be entirely truthful, and you can’t legislate honesty.

But did you ever get a brochure in the mail before an election to take with you to your voting place, which looked like it came from your Party, but actually snuck in some proposition your Party opposed, in the hope you wouldn’t notice?  Or how about phone banks, who call thousands of voters just before an election to spread some totally false message?

There will always be gray areas of truthfulness,  but laws prohibiting intentional gross deception are overdue.

Democracy is not benefitted by having the Legislators who best lie to voters, win.
